French Cooking Class – 01
*this is an advanced class and is not recommended for beginner cooks, if you are a confident home cook, this class is for you. Our less advanced but equally delicious French Provinciale cooking class will be available later in 2021!
The French did everything first… well ok that’s not entirely true, but what the French did do first was record recipes and techniques in near scientific detail and built on that from generation to generation. What is so special about French cooking is that through technique, it can turn simple ingredients into something complex and refined, both visually and on the palate. It was French cooking that helped guide us into the gastronomic revolution, and French technique that gave us a better understanding of WHY we do what we do in the kitchen. This French cooking class focuses on foundation and advanced cooking principals and techniques. A fast paced Le Cordon Bleu speed date, with enough bells and whistles to tickle any home chefs fancy.
Please note that due to the recent government announcement regarding COVID19, the 2m sq. rule for hospitality and the use of masks, our classes are allowed to resume; as of May 1st 2021. Our two rooms, the Kitchen Studio and the Dining Hall are each more than 80m sq. providing our guests with more than enough space at any given time. Hand and phone sanitisation will still be necessary upon entry and throughout every class, masks are to be worn at all times, and we will ask that if anyone is feeling any cold or flu like symptoms at the time of entering the venue to please not enter the venue.
