Spanish Tapas Cooking Class -01
What started as a keystone to the alluring Spanish lifestyle, the social eating of tapas has now become an institution. ‘Modern’ communities the world over have embraced it and run with it. However, what can sometimes get lost in the ever-evolving tapas scene today is the original experience; the perfect meeting of spice and the Mediterranean, the complexity within simplicity, the undeniably damn good drinking food that is authentic Spanish Tapas.
Here’s what’s cooking…
Rioja braised fresh La Boqueria chorizo
Australian prawn and avocado escabèche, lime, toasted cumin (gf)
pan con tomaté (smoky charred garlic and tomato sour dough)
patatas bravas (crispy baked bite size potatoes, smoky ‘bravas’ sauce) (gf)
alubias blancas con hinojo (creamy braised white bean, leek, fennel, manchego) (gf)
salted dark chocolate and vanilla bean churros balls
"Took part in the Spanish Tapas class at Salt and Co today and LOVED it!! Reanne has a magical storytelling ability, sharing her passion and enthusiasm for food and culture and taking you on an exquisite culinary journey before you’ve even started cooking. Took my hubby who is not exactly at home in the kitchen and he loved it too. Would recommend to everyone from those who’ve never cooked to full blown foodies. Jake, Reanne and team, thank you for an amazing day!!"Haley Hibbitt
Please note that due to the recent Phase 3 announcement regarding COVID19 and the 2m sq. rule, our classes can resume as per normal, as of June 6th. Our two rooms, the Kitchen Studio and the Dining Hall are each more than 80m sq. providing our guests with more than enough space at any given time. Hand and phone sanitisation will still be necessary upon entry and throughout every class, and we will ask that if anyone is feeling any cold or flu like symptoms at the time of entering the venue to please not enter the venue. We are applying this to ALL people entering our venue; customers, our team and all services.
